International students from a university which has no
exchange agreement with ETH Zurich have the possibility to apply as
visiting students for a period of up to two semesters. Visiting students
do not acquire an ETH degree.
There are two ways for applying as a visiting student:
- If you plan to attend courses at ETH Zurich, please look here>> for more information on the application procedure (conditions, deadlines and other formalities).
- If you are coming to ETH Zurich to work on a project (Bachelor/Master/Diploma thesis, research project) and have already found a tutor at ETH Zurich, please look here>> for more information.
Important information on internships
Please note that internships cannot be arranged through visiting studies. The authorities have defined the status as an intern very clearly. This includes an internship contract and salary, as well as a work permit. Therefore, official internships at ETH Zurich are handled by Human Resources and IAESTE.
