How to get to the Main Building (HG)

Instructions on applying for a departmental programme

  1. Read the specific information regarding your chosen programme through carefully.
    Because the structure of departmental programmes varies, note the specific registration deadlines and list of required application documents for your programme, found on the respective information pages>>, and follow the instructions precisely.
  2. At an early stage, ask your mobility advisor about the selection procedure and registration.
    The mobility advisor will select suitable students for the places available at the partner university.
  3. The application for your desired programme must reach the Student Exchange Office by 10 January, 24:00 (receipt), unless the programme’s information page>> specifies otherwise.

Application

Your application to the Student Exchange Office must contain the following documents:

Transcript of records 
To be submitted in official form, in English (Master’s students should submit the Bachelor’s degree or the Diploma, including the Supplement, if available)
Study plan
Included in the application form
Proof of language skills According to the stipulations of the selected partner university
Further application documents specified by the selected programme For any required additional documents please see the information page>> of the selected programme


Please send your application materials in PDF form by email to studentexchange@ethz.ch.
Your documents must be in colour and of good scan quality.

(Order of documents: ETH Zurich application form, including curriculum; transcript of records; proof of language skills; any further documents specified by the individual programme).

Procedure after submitting your application to the Student Exchange Office

After submitting your application to the ETH Zurich Student Exchange Office you will need to gather further application documents required by the partner university. The Student Exchange Office will send you an email after 10 January which contains the corresponding information. The documents must be submitted by the deadline stated in the email. Most departmental programmes also list the required partner university documents on the respective information page>>.

Please note that partner universities reserve the right to reject students nominated by ETH Zurich.
